How this Works

Book a Call

If you’re interested in booking a One Week Website, the first steps are to schedule a video chat with me and fill in a brief questionnaire so I can get an idea of what you’re looking for and we can discuss a start date!

Gather Your Content

Once you’re officially booked in, you’ll receive your Website Workbook that will guide you through writing content for your website and gathering photos. You’ll have until your project start date to submit this info.

I Build Your Site

On Monday of your design week, I’ll start loading your website with the photos & content you’ve provided. You’ll  see a draft of your site by Wednesday and  testing, training & launch will be ready by Friday.

Can you alter the layout or design in any way?

The purpose of these pre-made templates is to give you a cheap and quick way to get a website. In order to keep your project affordable and to complete it in 5 days, no changes to the design can be made without an additional fee and additional time to complete the changes. 

Why is there an additional monthly cost?

This additional fee covers your monthly Website Care Plan. Think of it like insurance for a car. When you launch a website, that’s not the end of your digital journey. Your website needs to be frequently updated to make sure it’s secure from hackers, your information stays up to date and that backups are made in case anything bad happens. Without proper maintenance, it’s likely that your website can be hacked or issues can arise when plugins are out-of-date. This leads to a negative effect on your SEO ranking, which you definitely don’t want!

I already have a hosting provider, can part of your website care plan fee be waived?

It’s possible, but it will depend on what hosting provider you’re currently using. Your current hosting provider will need to be able to properly run your website, so please get in touch to discuss this further.

Your website will be crafted using a program called Divi, a top of the line page builder, that will require a certain level of hosting power and services.

My website care plans include hosting on Siteground, one of the leading hosting companies out there. A reputable hosting provider is important for many reasons, but one the most important is that a good hosting company can lead to a higher SEO score. Google favours websites hosted by reputable hosting companies!

Can I change or add content to my website after it's done?

Absolutely! Your website will be built using a page builder called Divi. Divi gives you the ability to write text right on your live website and drag and drop sections anywhere you like!

You’ll receive training videos that show you how to edit the content and photos on your site and add new pages if you choose to.

Your Website Care Plan also comes with 1 hour of changes a month, so you can always ask me to update info for you!

Do you offer support after my website is finished?

Absolutely! You’ll receive support in a number of ways. For the first week after your site is live, you’ll receive free email support for any technical issues that we might notice as folks use your site.

After that support week is finished, you’ll have 1 hour of my time each month that’s included in your Care Plan. You can use this time to get me to complete content changes, photo changes or any technical changes that might be needed.

You’ll also get access to my exclusive Facebook community for Tourism Operators where you can access exclusive content and collaborate on building your website with me and other business owners!

If you require anything beyond that, you’re able to request additional work at the preferred client rate of $60/hr.

I don't currently have photos or content for my website, when should I book my slot?

As soon as possible! You’ll receive a workbook when you book your project that will help guide you through what content to create and guidelines on the best photos to provide.

Also, I only work on one project at a time and I’m normally booked out 1-2 months out, so the sooner you book your project, the better. You’ll secure your start date and will have time to gather your information before our start date arrives.

What is the realistic timeline for my website?

I’m glad you asked! There is generally at least a 1 month wait before I can start on your website. I only take on 1 one-week website project at a time.

Once your chosen project start date arrives, you’ll receive your finished website by the following Friday (5 business days) as long as I’ve received all your content and photos!

Do you have a payment plan?

I sure do! The payment plan I offer is as follows:

You’ll pay a 20% deposit to secure your project start date and get your project going.

40% payment two weeks before your project start date (this will coincide with the kick-off meeting we’ll have together to discuss content and any online booking functionality)

40% final payment on official start date of your website project. 

Alternatively,  you can choose to pay the fee in it’s entireity up front!

How does the Online Booking software work?

If you choose to, your new website will be built with Hbook, a leading WordPress booking software for Accommodations. It allows you to show all the rooms you have available and your customers will be able to book directly from your website and you will be able to manage your reservations straight from your website.

You’ll be able to do the following with Hbook 

  • Accept Online payments: Stripe and PayPal included
  • Show room availablity: calendars through out your website will show when you’re booked and when you have available rooms
  • Complex pricing is possible thanks to an advanced booking rule system which allows you to set all kind of pricing
  • Offer discounts when the booking meets the criteria you have set (ex: longer stay, specific season, etc…)
  • Set fees to be added automatically to the reservation. It can be set in a variety of ways to suit many tax situations
  • Security deposits: if you require it, you can ask for a security deposit in case of damage or loss
  • Charge and refund your clients: with Stripe, you can store credit card details and charge or refund your guest directly from your website
  • Synchronize your bookings with websites such as AirBnB, Google Cal, Homeaway, VRBO,… thanks to the iCal synchronization feature
  • Automatic emails: customer and admin notification upon new reservation, confirmation of reservation, cancelation of reservation
  • Calendar view to glimpse at your bookings
  • Reservation list in a table to view details of all bookings, add comments, edit information…
  • Manage your bookings thanks to the confirm, cancel, delete actions. Send emails and issue invoices to your guests
What online payment provider can I use to take bookings?

Your website can be programmed to accept payments through Stripe or Paypal. Both services charge the industry standard payment processing fee of 2.9%+ $0.30 per transaction (this fee is a tax write-off!)

Your website workbook will help you sign up for an account with Stripe or Paypal if you don’t already have one!
